Mrinal Mitra {Illustrator, Author​}

 

 

Mrinal Mitra has received numerous prestigious Indian and International awards, and honors for his outstanding illustrations. Some of his recognitions include: The Noma Concours Award, Japan (twice), Illustrators Award, and Children’s Choice Award, India, and honors from German Television “Transtel”, and UNICEF, New York. Many of his talented artworks have been exhibited in various countries such as: India, Japan, Czech Republic, Iran, Italy, and New Zealand.

 

Beside advertising and packaging industry, Mitra has designed and illustrated numerous trade and educational children’s books for many Indian, as well as multinational Book Publishers around the globe. Some of his publishers are: Oxford and Cambridge University Press, and Tiger Books Ltd., UK. World Book Inc., Sing-a-Tune Balloons Inc., and Simon and Schuster, USA. Splashworks Inc., Canada. In 2012, Mitra had authored, designed and illustrated, a series of ten drawing books for Holy Faith International, a New Delhi based Multinational Book Publisher. Most recently, Mitra has conceived, designed and illustrated a set of ten books in his 'World Culture Coloring Series' and published through Amazon sites world wide.

 

Mitra now works in both traditional and digital art, and living in Canada.
